• ENGL 501: Seminar in the Methodology of Composition [3 credits]
• Electives (8 3-credit courses from any English 500-level literature offering, with optional substitution of no more than 1 course from 300- or 400-level)

II.  Non-Graded Courses [11 credits minimum]

A. ENGL 598: Teaching Apprenticeship [3 credits]

• 1st Semester: English 101 Preparation [1 credit]
• 2nd Semester: Weekly Colloquium on Freshman Comp [1 credit]
• 3rd or 4th Semester: Mentored Teaching or Pedagogy Course [1 credit]
