Welcome to Washington State University’s Department of English. Our program is one of the largest, most diverse and vibrant humanities departments in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). With a presence in Pullman, Tri-Cities, and Vancouver, our combined seventy-five faculty members work in some of the most dynamic areas of literary studies, creative writing, rhetoric and composition, English education, and applied linguistics. We have strong individual and curricular links to programs in sciences, business, and engineering across WSU’s campuses. In Pullman, we also direct the interdisciplinary Digital Technology and Culture (DTC) program, which offers its students cutting-edge work in digital rhetoric, writing, and the humanities. The Digital Technology and Culture program includes extensive work creating various forms of digital media including web design, graphic design, Photoshop, video/sound editing, digital animation and more.
