English Graduate Organization

The English Graduate Organization, known affectionately as EGO, is a student-led organization that is dedicated to the advancement and well-being of all graduate students within the English Department.

EGO’s mission is to recognize, support, and help resolve the needs of graduate students through advocacy and community building. EGO organizes professional development and social events for graduate students to network, grow and share their research; fosters communication between faculty and graduate students; and disseminates crucial information concerning graduate studies in Literature and Rhetoric/Composition.

The English Graduate Organization currently offers seven awards:

EGO Service Award for MA Student

This award is for the master’s student who did the most positive service for the English graduate program/English graduate student body during the year.

EGO Service Award for PhD Student

This award is for the PhD student who did the most positive service for the English graduate program/English graduate student body during the year.
