Anne-Sophie Balzer
Biography
Anne-Sophie Balzer is a journalist, poet and PhD candidate in English Lit from Bavaria, Germany. Both her academic projects and the more creative and practice-driven work is engaged with glaciers and the cryosphere; glaciers in literature and actual glaciers in the European Alps, in Norway and in the US.
Her PhD thesis (in the making) is titled Writing with Glaciers: Towards a Glacial Poetics in Contemporary Transamerican Poetries of the Anthropocene.
